THE CONSTITUTION
The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) is an enactment of the National Assembly and it is the Supreme Law that gives right to the enactment of other Acts and or Laws.
Section 1 (3) provides that the provisions of any other law that is inconsistent with the constitution shall be null and void.
Chapter 4 of the constitution guarantees the various rights of every Nigerian and redress can be sought in a court of law if anyone violates any of the rights.
They include but not limited to Right to Life, freedom of movement, speech and association etc.
Once any of these rights is being or likely to be violated you are advised to seek redress in the court of law and never allow anyone infringe on your right.
